Job description

Description
Physical Therapist - Adult Therapy (Neurologic Rehabilitation Opportunity)
About the Role
If neuro is what excites you, or you've always wanted the time, mentorship, and equipment to truly practice neurologic rehabilitation the way it should be, this is your place.
At West Texas Rehab Center, you'll have the support, autonomy, and resources to treat complex neurologic patients using evidence-based care that prioritizes meaningful functional outcomes, not just productivity.
What You'll Do
You won't just treat. You'll help people reclaim their independence.
  • Evaluate and treat adults with neurologic conditions, including stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, vestibular disorders, traumatic brain injury, peripheral neuropathies, and other complex neurologic diagnoses
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions that create meaningful functional change
  • Utilize gait training, balance interventions, task-specific training, motor learning principles, therapeutic exercise, and manual techniques as appropriate
  • Incorporate functional electrical stimulation, body-weight support systems, adaptive equipment, and other advanced rehabilitation strategies
  • Apply clinical reasoning to progress patients based on their goals and response to treatment
  • Educate patients and caregivers so they understand the "why" behind recovery
  • Document clearly, accurately, and efficiently (we respect your time)
  • Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
  • Supervise students and help shape the next generation of clinicians
  • Ensure accurate coding and billing that reflects the care provided
What Makes This Role Different
  • Clinical autonomy - You're trusted to think, not just follow scripts
  • Neuro-focused growth - Treat a wide variety of neurologic diagnoses with mentorship and support
  • Excellent equipment - Access to the tools you need to maximize patient outcomes
  • Team-first culture - You're supported, not siloed
  • No grind mentality - Patient care > meaningless productivity pressure
  • Mission-driven work - You're part of something bigger than a clinic
What We're Looking For
You'll thrive here if you:
  • Have a passion for neurologic rehabilitation or want to build expertise in the specialty
  • Care about functional outcomes, not just checking boxes
  • Enjoy solving complex movement problems
  • Are curious, coachable, and committed to lifelong learning
  • Bring energy, empathy, and just enough personality to make patients excited to come back
The Bottom Line
WTRC is a place where:
  • You have the time and resources to treat neurologic patients well
  • Your clinical judgment is valued
  • Your voice is heard
  • Your work genuinely changes lives
And great things happen every day.
Requirements
  • Interest or experience in neurologic rehabilitation
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current Texas PT license (or eligible)
  • Strong clinical reasoning and a patient-first mindset
  • Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and meet patients where they are
  • A team mentality with a little "let's make things better" energy
  • Committed to high-quality patient care and ethical practice
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and assist with patient transfers as part of a team
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in an active clinical environment for extended periods
