Job description

Advanced Home Health Care is currently looking for a Home Care Aide/Caregiver in the Hillsboro area. This position would be a part time position. Full time is available if able to travel to other service areas (Des Moines, Lee, Henry, Louisa, amp; Van Buren counties). The hours available in the Hillsboro, Iowa area are flexible. We are looking for someone who can work 2-7 days per week, 2-3 hours at a time.

Education:
Must be a graduate of an approved 75-hour Aide training program that meets the requirements specified in the Medicare interpretive guidelines and/or has successfully completed a competency evaluation program which includes all subjects listed in the Medicare interpretive guidelines. The competency evaluation program can be completed once hired.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work in the client's home under the direction of written and oral instructions from a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • The main duty is to provide personal care and assist the client with transfer and ambulation.
  • Perform household procedures essential to the health and safety of the client such as laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
