Join Our Team as a Safety Coordinator

As a Safety Coordinator, you'll help ensure our environmental and occupational health and safety programs are maintained to the highest standards. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to support compliance, drive continuous improvement, and promote a safe and healthy workplace.
What You'll Do
You'll conduct internal audits for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems, support SHE committee initiatives, and assist in managing health and safety awareness programs, policies, and procedures. You'll serve as a liaison with external parties on OH&S and environmental matters, help maintain regulatory compliance and permit documentation, and track and communicate changes in federal, state, and local regulations. You'll investigate and report safety and environmental complaints, support corrective and preventive actions for nonconformances, and conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses. You'll also train and track plant personnel on safety programs, maintain document control systems, operate and maintain safety equipment, and contribute to the company's steering committee.

You should be a problem solver who can identify risks and implement solutions, and be adaptable and flexible in a dynamic work environment. A safety-focused mindset and a passion for protecting people and the planet are essential.
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with at least one year of service at Advanced Composites. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required, and audit and training experience is a plus. Certifications such as RAB Lead Auditor, Forklift Trainer, OSHA 30-hour, and First Aid/CPR/AED are highly valued. You should be comfortable operating lab and safety equipment, performing recordkeeping, and managing safety inventory.
