Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility team in Yonkers, New York. As an Occupational Therapist at Adira at Riverside, you will have the opportunity to evaluate residents, develop effective treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning. You will also record evaluations, treatments, and charges, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents to determine their need for occupational therapy services

• Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with the referring physician

• Obtain approval for service from the referring physician

• Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for residents

• Record evaluations, treatments, and charges accurately and timely

• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides to ensure high-quality patient care

• Screen residents for potential benefit from occupational therapy intervention

Minimum Requirements:

• New York Occupational Therapy License

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy

• 2+ years of experience as an Occupational Therapist

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Effective problem-solving skills
