Active Life Therapists in Austin, Texas is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This onsite role is integral to our rehabilitation facility, where you will assess and treat a diverse range of patients with the goal of improving their functional mobility and quality of life. Work Environment

Located in vibrant Austin, Texas, Active Life Therapists provides an engaging and collaborative work environment. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff, providing a comprehensive care experience. The schedule primarily consists of weekday shifts, with rotating weekend hospital shifts, allowing for a well-rounded work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• You will conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred to you, setting personalized goals and creating tailored treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient care, including evaluations and treatment notes, to ensure accurate documentation supporting Medicare regulations and skilled therapeutic criteria.
• Implement dynamic treatment programs involving therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities to optimize patient outcomes.
• Regularly assess and determine the efficacy of various therapeutic interventions and adjust treatment plans based on individual patient progress.
• Oversee and guide the daily activities of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, ensuring high standards of patient care and achievement of functional goals.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals throughout the patient care process, communicating effectively to facilitate optimal treatment outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development by providing feedback and contributing to of the facility's productivity standards and a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited university.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas, demonstrating compliance with professional standards and regulations.

• Proficient in computer systems and electronic health record management for accurate care documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, providing you with a foundational understanding of therapeutic practices.
• Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in a rehabilitation facility is advantageous.
