Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), tailored to meet the unique needs of clientele seeking enhanced mental well-being.
• Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' personal stressors, mental health goals, and life challenges in order to customize a therapeutic approach.
• Lead clients through mindfulness practices, including meditation, guided imagery, and breathing exercises, fostering self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Facilitate group workshops and classes focused on mindfulness, stress management, and developing resilience, creating a safe space for clients to share and learn.
• Incorporate mindfulness techniques into individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health issues while supporting clients' overall growth.
• Collaborate with peer therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive, holistic approach to client care.
• Document and maintain accurate records of client progress, therapeutic interventions, and treatment plans on our secure electronic health record system.
• Engage in regular personal mindfulness practices, commit to self-care, and pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills in mindfulness-based therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns, with a notable emphasis on the application of mindfulness strategies. Clients may come to us seeking techniques for coping with everyday stressors or seeking deeper insights into their emotional health, making the therapeutic relationship crucial for successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong proficiency and understanding of mindfulness practices, and preferably prior training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
• Demonstrated ability to create a calming therapeutic environment through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly with mindfulness-based methodologies.
• Experience conducting group therapy sessions and workshops is a plus.
• Engagement in ongoing education related to mindfulness and therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
