Position Overview

Acra Behavioral Health & Consulting is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a Full-time Mental Health Therapist. This role primarily focuses on delivering mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions, helping individuals cultivate self-awareness, manage stress, and enhance their overall mental well-being. You will play a pivotal role in our outpatient practice from the comfort of a remote setting while making a direct impact on the mental health of our clients.

Work Environment

The work environment at Acra is tailored to be collaborative and supportive, with a strong focus on both the therapist’s and client’s well-being. Operate remotely, allowing you to achieve a healthy work-life balance while being a part of a compassionate team. Your schedule will primarily involve Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, providing consistency and structure to your workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement personalized mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), aimed at helping clients alleviate stress and improve emotional wellness.
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand the unique stressors and mental health goals of each client, tailoring your approach to fit their specific needs.
  • Lead clients through mindfulness exercises, breathwork, and meditation practices during individual sessions to help them develop coping mechanisms.
  • Facilitate group workshops focusing on mindfulness practices, stress management techniques, and strategies for building resilience within a group setting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the efficacy of comprehensive treatment plans, integrating mindfulness into broader therapeutic practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and the effectiveness of various mindfulness interventions utilized.
  • Engage in ongoing personal growth through regular mindfulness practice and professional development, enhancing your skills in MBSR and other interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will center around a diverse client population seeking support for various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related issues. By employing mindfulness as a therapeutic approach, you will assist clients in developing effective tools and strategies for coping with life's demands and achieving emotional balance.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.
  • Proficiency in mindfulness practices, with experience or interest in integrating MBSR techniques into therapeutic frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of creating a calm and supportive atmosphere that promotes client engagement and trust.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering mindfulness-based interventions and therapeutic practices, especially within outpatient settings.
  • Additional training in mindfulness modalities or certifications in MBSR is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
  • A proven track record of fostering a therapeutic environment that supports client empowerment and growth.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
