Job Summary:
- Provide respiratory therapy care, assessment, and treatment to patients as ordered by a physician, in various settings (inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and home care).
- Independently perform procedures such as intubations, cesarean section support, aerosol delivery, and patient assessment and care planning.
- Maintain professional behavior and represent the hospital appropriately at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
- Build positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Compile, organize, and analyze data using Microsoft Office applications; make recommendations as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to job functions.
- Communicate clearly with directors, managers, and coworkers.
- Perform assigned tasks accurately, ensuring attention to detail in documentation.
- Follow directions from supervisors and employees of other departments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information (e.g., personnel, payroll).
- Operate office equipment effectively in support of job duties.
- Respond to phone calls and assist the public in a professional manner.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code, attendance, and participation in evaluations and meetings.
- Exhibit the mission, ethics, and goals of Mayers Memorial Hospital District in all job duties.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and on-call shifts as needed.
