Make a real difference behind the scenes in patient care

At Action Seating & Mobility, our team helps patients regain independence through customized mobility equipment. The Action Care Coordinator (ACC) plays a critical role in making that happen by coordinating documentation, referrals, and communication between providers, therapists, insurers, and patients.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in:

referral coordination
prior authorizations
therapy scheduling
medical intake
case coordination
insurance verification workflows

If youโ€™ve supported complex healthcare paperwork or multi-step patient processes, this position is a strong match.

Requirements:What youโ€™ll do

Youโ€™ll manage the flow of documentation that allows patients to receive medically necessary mobility equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating patient referrals from intake through completion
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and documentation requirements
  • Requesting physician and therapist paperwork
  • Tracking missing documentation and preventing delays
  • Communicating with ATPs, clinicians, billing teams, and patients
  • Maintaining accurate workflow tracking logs
  • Supporting audit-ready patient records (HIPAA compliant)
  • Assisting with scheduling coordination tied to equipment evaluations
  • Monitoring case progress and follow-ups

This is a coordination roleโ€”not a front-desk position.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Preferred (but not required):

  • Prior authorization experience
  • Therapy or specialty clinic scheduling
  • Case coordination exposure
  • DME or mobility equipment familiarity

We provide training in Complex Rehab Technology workflows.
