Job description

Company Description AMSG has supported U.S. government agencies and the Department of Defense for nearly twenty years, earning more than 60 prime contracts and partnering with 18 program offices. The organization operates through three core business units: Technology, Information & Knowledge Management; Mission Support & Operations; and Acquisition & Financial Support Services. AMSG is guided by values of competence, courage, compassion, character, communication, and community, which shape both client relationships and internal culture. Team members benefit from the AMSG Experience Program, a comprehensive initiative with over 40 subprograms that focus on personal growth, hobbies, and global service. Through efforts like the Global Impact Program, staff have the opportunity to volunteer internationally, supporting communities by assisting orphanages and helping build schools.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chesterfield, VA. The Job Title will support mission-focused projects for government and DoD clients, contributing to day-to-day operations within one or more of AMSG’s key business units. Typical responsibilities may include coordinating project activities, maintaining documentation, preparing reports, and supporting communication between internal teams and client stakeholders. The role may also involve gathering and analyzing information, helping implement process improvements, and ensuring adherence to contract requirements and organizational standards. Collaboration with cross-functional partners, attention to detail, and a commitment to AMSG’s core values will be essential in delivering reliable, high-quality support.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and support project coordination in a structured, mission-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, presentations, and client-facing documentation.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and comfort working with data, documentation, and basic project tracking tools.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to integrity, accountability, and professional ethics.
  • Relevant experience supporting government or DoD programs is preferred; familiarity with federal contracting or acquisition processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chesterfield, VA and meet any applicable eligibility requirements for government support roles (such as background checks or clearances, if required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Public Administration, Management, or similar) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
