GENERAL MANAGER

Confidential Search | Premier Upscale Restaurant | Charleston, SC Area

A highly successful, independently owned restaurant is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of operations, hospitality, financial performance, and team development.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven restaurant leader who is ready to take full ownership of a thriving operation and be empowered to make decisions that drive both guest satisfaction and business performance.

The ownership group is seeking a hands-on leader capable of operating the restaurant with minimal oversight while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, culture, and profitability.

We are not looking for a shift manager. We are looking for a business leader.

What Success Looks Like

  • Own and manage the restaurant’s P&L
  • Drive top-line sales growth and profitability
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing management team
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences consistently
  • Build a culture of accountability, hospitality, and excellence
  • Manage labor, food cost, inventory, and operational controls
  • Recruit and retain top talent
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve efficiencies
  • Act as the face of the restaurant within the local community

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years as a General Manager in upscale casual, polished casual, or fine dining
  • Strong P&L management experience
  • Demonstrated success increasing sales and profitability
  • Experience leading teams of 30+ employees
  • Strong understanding of wine, beverage, and hospitality-driven service
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Stable employment history with measurable accomplishments

The Ideal Candidate

You are a hospitality professional first and foremost, but you also understand that restaurants are businesses. You know how to motivate teams, create memorable guest experiences, manage financial performance, and hold people accountable.

You are equally comfortable reviewing a P&L, coaching a manager, greeting guests in the dining room, and developing strategies to increase sales.
