As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Bench Jeweler who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team focused on quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled, full-time Bench Jeweler to join our team at our Terrell, Texas location.

The Jeweler will be responsible for performing a variety of jewelry repair, restoration, finishing, and custom fabrication work while maintaining AFANDI's standards for quality and attention to detail.

You will work closely with our sales, project management, design to bring custom jewelry projects from concept to finished piece.

Responsibilities

• Perform jewelry repairs, restoration, and alterations
• Ring sizing, soldering, assembly, and general bench work
• Stone setting and tightening when applicable
• Polishing, refinishing, and final finishing
• Work on custom jewelry and one-of-a-kind pieces
• Inspect completed work for quality and craftsmanship
• Diagnose repair needs and recommend appropriate repair methods
• Collaborate with designers, salespeople, project managers, and casting
• Assist with training and developing other team members
• Maintain an organized, professional, and safe bench environment
• Handle customers' jewelry with exceptional care and attention

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a Bench Jeweler or similar jewelry craftsman
• Strong jewelry repair and polishing skills
• Experience working with gold, platinum, silver, and other precious metals
• Understanding of gemstones and proper handling procedures
• Strong soldering and fabrication skills
• Custom jewelry experience preferred
• Stone-setting experience is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality work
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex jewelry repair challenges
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to help train and develop other jewelers as the company grows
