Role Description The Bartender role at 9Five Kitchen & Co. is a full-time, on-site position based in Baltimore, MD. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following recipes and house standards, and providing guests with a friendly, efficient bar experience. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking drink and light food orders, mixing and pouring drinks, managing tabs, and accurately handling cash and card transactions. The Bartender maintains bar cleanliness and organization, monitors inventory levels, restocks supplies, and adheres to all safety and responsible alcohol service guidelines. This role works closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and consistently high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Solid knowledge of food & beverage offerings, including classic cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Experience in bartending, including drink preparation, garnishing, and operating bar equipment.
  • Accurate cash handling skills, with the ability to manage tabs, process payments, and follow cash-out procedures.
  • Prior experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices; relevant certifications or training are a plus.
