Job Description: In conjunction with the Manager, ensures efficient utilization of our workforce and equipment to execute required packaging and warehouse schedules to fulfill order needs in a timely fashion Ensures Standard Operating Procedures are followed and recommends modifications as necessary Helps to prevent/diagnose potential problems and in conjunction with the Manager, schedules repairs with the maintenance department Performs routine troubleshooting maintenance as necessary Conducts weekly inventories to proactively ensure raw materials inventories are adequate for production needs, and in coordination with the Manager, initiates necessary reordering, including all glass/can product Provides continuous process improvement or efficiencies within the packaging and warehouse departments by recommending enhancements, specialized training, or equipment upgrades Maintains accurate production and efficiency reporting at all times. Keeps detailed maintenance records for work performed and keeps OBM (operator-based maintenance) logs and in conjunction with the Manager schedules with management time required for OBM work Receives all incoming shipments and packages and delivers to proper personnel or department Ensure all shipping paperwork is completed accurately, in a timely and orderly manner. Takes daily finished goods inventories and reconciles against previous days production count Takes responsibility for the management and enforcement of established cleanliness and sanitation standards Reviews daily Forklift Safety Inspection Sheets, enforces forklift rules and, in conjunction with the EHS Manager coordinates requires training for the staff Is responsible for shift safety monitoring, inspection, training and enforcement to maintain and encourage safety minded behavior by employees, as well as ensure compliance with established safety programs Works alongside crews, operating high speed packaging/bottling/kegging/canning equipment Operates a forklift as needed to move product through and around the production and warehouse area as necessary Participates with the Packaging Manager decisions on employee hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of department employees. Perform other duties as assigned Job Qualifications: Experience leading a team Familiarity with packaging equipment OBM's and repair Familiarity with automation controls Minimum 2 years packaging/warehousing industry experience preferably in a high-speed bottling or canning facility Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well independently and with a team Able to work flexible shifts with varying hours, including graveyard Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Compensation & Total Rewards: The pay range for this role is USD $60,000-$65,000/annually.
