2A Logistics is looking for experienced freight brokers, freight agents, and logistics sales reps who want more freedom, stronger support, and a better commission opportunity.
This is a 1099 commission-based role for someone who already understands freight, can build customer relationships, and wants to grow their own book of business without being buried in corporate red tape.
We are especially interested in brokers or agents with existing shipper relationships, freight sales experience, or the ability to prospect and close new accounts.
What You’ll Do
As a 1099 Freight Agent, you will be responsible for developing and managing shipper relationships while working with our team to quote, cover, and move freight efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and developing new shipper accounts
- Quoting freight opportunities across dry van, reefer, flatbed, hotshot, power-only, and other modes
- Building long-term relationships with customers
- Communicating with customers on rates, availability, service issues, and shipment updates
- Working with our operations team to cover freight and maintain strong service
- Growing and managing your own book of business
- Identifying urgent, high-value, and time-sensitive freight opportunities
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation experience and knows how to sell service, reliability, and speed.
Qualified candidates should have:
- Freight brokerage, freight agent, logistics sales, or 3PL experience preferred
- Existing shipper relationships or a book of business is a strong plus
- Ability to prospect, cold call, email, and follow up consistently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Understanding of freight pricing, carrier coverage, and customer service expectations
- Ability to work independently in a commission-based role
- Motivation to build long-term income rather than just chase one-off loads
Compensation
This is a 1099 commission-based opportunity with uncapped earning potential.
Agents can earn up to 60% commission on gross margin, depending on experience, existing book of business, production level, and fit.
This role is built for freight professionals who want to be paid based on what they produce. If you have shipper relationships, know how to sell freight, and want more ownership over your income, this gives you the flexibility and upside to build real long-term earnings.
Compensation highlights:
- Up to 60% commission on gross margin
- Uncapped earning potential
- 1099 independent contractor structure
- Remote / flexible work opportunity
- Support from an active brokerage team
- Opportunity to build and manage your own customer relationships
This role is best for someone who wants to be paid based on what they produce and is serious about building a long-term freight book.

This opportunity is a strong fit for:
- Current or former freight brokers
- 1099 freight agents
- Logistics sales reps
- Carrier sales reps looking to move into customer sales
- Former TQL, C.H. Robinson, Echo, Worldwide Express, Arrive, Nolan, BlueGrace, or other 3PL employees
