RN Supervisor, Progressive Care Unit (Medical Surgical, Step Down, ICU)

-The position reports to the Director of Inpatient Services.
-The ideal candidate will have RN experience in Labor and Delivery/Mother/Baby as well as some Supervisor/Charge experience

Approx 33 RN FTE; 15 LNA FTE reporting to this Supervisor


Job Summary: Our mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community. We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time (7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), RN Supervisor of our Progressive Care Unit.

The Supervisor of the Progressive Care Unit (Medical Surgical, Step Down, ICU) will oversee the daily operations of the PCU and will report to the Director of Inpatient Services. The Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of budgeting; performance management; and human resources matters, including recruitment and the administration of disciplinary measures within the PCU. The Supervisor implements and supports safety protocols and regulations ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local requirements and meets all Joint Commission requirements. In addition, the supervisor will collaborate and support the integration of department best practices to ensure safe, professional, quality care is provided to all patients while supporting the mission, vision and values of the Medical Center.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Rn in the State of VT. Bachelor's degree in nursing required or willing to obtain within a two year period.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience. Three (3) years clinical experience in Medical Surgical required. Familiarity with concepts of shared governance.

Special Skills: Experience with LEAN and Studer philosophies preferred.

Certifications: ACLS
