Senior Project Superintendent | Infrastructure, Rails and Heavy Civil Construction
Client:
Our client has been in business in the US since 2006, operating in the Tri-State area as well as nationwide. The company is involved in major contracts such as the Purple Line Light Rail in Maryland, the I-5 North Capacity Enhancements project in California, and several contracts on the Tri-State Tollway in Illinois, as well as the South Corridor Bus Rapid Transit project in Florida. They are ranked 13th in the top 20 contractors by sector (Transportation) and 17th in the top 50 Domestic Heavy Contractors, according to Engineering News-Record.
Description:
Immediate opportunity for a Project Superintendent to perform day-to-day on-site supervision of the field labor force. Duties will include site inspection, coordination and monitoring cost.
Responsibilities:
  • Daily on-site supervision of the field labor force.
  • Inspection of the contractor operations.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all the trades.
  • Develop and maintain a site logistics plan.
  • Coordinate with the Project Managers.
  • Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
  • Monitor costs including labor time.
  • Enforce safety and health management plan.
  • Manage schedules.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings.
Job Requirements:
  • 10+ years or more supervising infrastructure, rail, or heavy construction projects.
  • 4-year engineering degree.
  • MUST be safety oriented – OSHA 30 certified.
  • Previous agency experience – NYC projects.
  • Familiar with terms and conditions of contracts and purchase orders.
  • Strong abilities to read drawings and specifications.
  • Computer knowledge (MS Office)
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
