Summary
You will serve as a VH-92 SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Fleet Support Team (FST) Logistics Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties
Help
  • You will serve as the acknowledged expert for logistics support related to the assigned aircraft or engine and acts as a representative of the NAVAL Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PSM/APML for matters relating to acquisition, sustainment and logistics.
  • You will lead to ensure fleet aircraft/engine safety and readiness goals are fully supported while minimizing total aircraft/engine operating costs.
  • You will communicate precisely; both in the written and spoken word and develop sound relationships between all stakeholders within the fleet, Program Manager Air (PMA), and FST community.
  • You will coordinate program support issues between the APML, Integrated Program Team (IPT) Leader and FST Lead
  • You will identify aircraft/engine ILS program planning and execution problems
  • You will review acquisition planning and procurement documents to ensure integration of systems command policies, procedures, contract provisions and contract data requirements for ILS and related programs.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing program sustainment and acquisition integrated logistics support; 2) Effectively managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system; 4) Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make logistical decisions.

This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date).
