Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst - Embedded Software


Location: Ft. Worth, TX – Hybrid


Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 + Bonus Eligible

It supports industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial computing through consulting, engineering, integration, and lifecycle support,reducing development risk and accelerating certification in standards-driven, mission-critical environment.


Role Summary


Execute the established test plan for your assigned embedded product release—ensuring test and build environment readiness and deliveringhigh‑qualityrelease outcomes.


As a key contributor,you’lldrive defect discovery/triage, strengthen processes, and collaborate across engineering to ship reliable releases that meet stringent customer and industry expectations.


Responsibilities



  • Own the release/test cycle & its execution: Execute manual and automated test suites; track outcomes and publish comprehensive quality reports and status updates.

  • Ensure release integrity: Verify that all release packages and supporting documentation are complete and compliant with defined development and release processes;maintainthe release repository (artifacts, documentation, dependencies, credentials, notification lists).

  • Build &maintainenvironments: Create Windows/Linux build server VMs, install toolchains/dev tools, perform health checks, and resolve environment issues to keep testing productive and predictable.

  • Analyze builds & triage defects: Investigate failing tests, log clear issues, and partner with development to resolve root causes and prevent recurrence.

  • Utilize CI pipelines: Execute established Jenkins pipelines and Python driver/build scripts (e.g.,SCons) that accelerate validation and release workflows.

  • Continuously improve:Utilizingyour knowledge and skills, contribute to process improvements that reduce cycle time, increase coverage, and elevate quality across the org.


Must-Have Skills & Experience



  • 3–5 years of professional QA experience in embedded software environments.

  • Skilled at hardware setup/assembly and troubleshooting; comfortable with Linux and Windows environments (RTOS exposure such asPikeOS, VxWorks, Integrity is an asset).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or related field.

  • Hands‑onexpertisein manual, automated, and performance testing with a strong grasp of the SDLC and structured test methodologies.

  • Practical programming/scripting in Python; familiarity with C/C++ to enable embedded debugging and test harnesses.


Nice to Have



  • Experience with 3D graphics validation (OpenGL or Vulkan) is beneficial for graphics driver/application testing.

  • Proficiencywith source control and CI/CD (e.g., Git, Jenkins); able to create and run build/test pipelines and supporting scripts.

  • Experience in certification testing under DO‑178C and ISO 26262 is an asset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization and analyticalproblem‑solvingskills.

  • Prior exposure to U.S. export control regulations or regulated development environments is an asset.

  • Familiarity with Jira and SharePoint for planning, traceability, and release documentation.


Eligibility: Due to export‑controlled work, U.S. citizenship is required.


Work Location


This role requires working out of our Fort Worth, TX office regularly;on‑sitecollaboration is essential to the pace and quality of our releases.Occasional WFH opportunities.
