Professionally greet visitors, vendors, and Crate and Barrel associates at the Crate & Barrel Corporate office in person and by telephone. Possess knowledge of corporate departments, personnel in those departments, and other Crate locations and their functions to be able to connect callers with the appropriate parties.
This is an on-site position (Monday through Friday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office.
A day in the life as a Front Desk Reception & Security...
- Create and issue associate ID Badges and manage access control.
- Manage Visitor Management System, issue visitor badges and maintain visitor logs.
- Possess a complete understanding of applicable company systems, policies and procedures.
- Maintain an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines provided by management or the Human Resources Department and/or as outlined in the Crate and Barrel/CB2 Associate Guide.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with all company associates and business contacts.
- Perform basic security procedures and assist with security responsibilities, as needed. Disable and enable the building security alarm system; know the appropriate procedures for whom to call when problems or emergencies arise.
- Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working together safely, effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all associates.

- High degree of proficiency with Google Workspace office products

We'd love to hear from you if you have…
- 1 year previous customer service-related position; retail sales experience a plus
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Experience with general office equipment, including computer and printer, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), company email system, multi-line telephone, copier/scanner, fax machine, calculator
