As of 2020, ZipCares has a new name: ZipRecuiter.org. Learn more about our mission here.
A recently discharged Veteran. A homeless mother of three. A teenager living in foster care. What do they all have in common? They’re all working toward a brighter future, and we’re helping them get there with our new employee volunteer program, ZipCares.
ZipCares extends the ZipRecruiter mission to ensure all people—especially those who face unique challenges—have the opportunity to find employment. We are targeting our efforts to help Veterans, the homeless population, and at-risk youth.
ZipCares aims to reach thousands of underserved job candidates by the end of 2017, and we’re already setting our sights on more ways to benefit the company, the team, and the community.
This is all made possible through a unique partnership with GivePulse—a platform that lists, finds, organizes, and measures volunteerism in the community. GivePulse provides our employees with a home base to find volunteer opportunities that directly align with our ZipCares mission. It also helps them track their hours, log their impacts, share their experiences, and recruit more employees to join the ZipCares community.
ZipCares encourages all ZipRecruiter employees to step out of the office to help others overcome the barriers they face to gaining employment. By using their skills outside of the workplace, our employees can show the world that anyone can be that next great hire with the right tools and support.
From career coaching to mentoring kids in need of role models, the possibilities are endless for making a difference in our communities. It’s why we launched ZipCares, and it’s just the beginning.
