The saying, “it’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it” was almost definitely originally referring to construction work. It’s back-breaking, sun-burnt, hand-callusing work. The men and women that take wood, cement, and steel and make it into a community deserve nothing less than our admiration and deepest thanks. And yet, they do it all humbly and with a sense of humor that says, “I work harder before the sun comes up than most people do all day.”
