Job description

Walpole, NH: Full-time, 20-25 hours, part-time
Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking a qualified applicant for a Part-time, DSP position in Walpole, Keene and Springfield, VT. Up to 25 hours per week with flexible daytime hours. Mileage reimbursement included.
Direct Support Professional Responsibilities:
  • support the individual in their community with social schedule, volunteer commitments, exercise, personal care, and visiting with friends and family
  • support their interests with social engagements, listening to music, and being around animals
  • work as the translator for the non-verbal individual, to the verbal world

Direct Support Professional Requirements:
  • support individual out in the community
  • assist with meal preparation
  • personal care needs
  • transportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programs
  • continued support and development of individual's monthly goals
  • maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progress
  • **Training will be provided in all applicable areas for each program**

Direct Support Professional minimum qualifications include:
  • a patient, encouraging, friendly, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, and a sense of humor

Schedule is flexible, including weekday and/or weekend hours.
