Weekend Static Guard Jobs in Colorado (NOW HIRING)

Schedule Options (2 Positions Available)

We are hiring two technicians to cover daily kennel operations:

Option A (Primary Coverage):

• Morning: ~2 hours 0600-1800
• Evening: ~2 hours 1800-2000
• 2–7 days/week (flexible scheduling split between two hires)

Option B (Relief / Alternate):

• Fill-in coverage for days off + shared weekly schedule
• Opportunity to grow into consistent hours

Compensation

• $17.00–$20.00/hour (based on reliability and experience)
• Consistent, predictable daily schedule
• Opportunity for increased hours based on performance

Position Overview

Byers K9 Services is seeking reliable individuals to support daily kennel operations for working K9s. This role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary, and controlled environment.

This is not a handler or training position. Candidates must be comfortable working around high-drive, working dogs in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, and containment areas
• Wash and disinfect food/water bowls
• Pick up and dispose of dog waste
• Maintain overall cleanliness of kennel environment
• Conduct basic visual checks on dogs and report concerns

Requirements (Read Carefully)

• Must be comfortable around working breeds / K9s
• Must be reliable and able to show up consistently, 7 days/week coverage split between staff
• Ability to work early mornings and evenings (split shift required)
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to work independently and follow direction

Preferred (Not Required)

• Kennel, animal care, or veterinary experience
• Experience with high-energy or working dogs

Our Security Guard Division provides professional unarmed security personnel for construction sites, residential developments, commercial properties, industrial projects, events, and long-term contracts.

* Fire watch services
* Overnight and weekend coverage
