Job Summary  


This position requires a professional responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and store policy. They ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention. This position requires the ability to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. This position will also include delivering product to Blake's locations in the area.  


Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Support Blake's mission, vision, and core values. 
  • Receiving: Receive incoming shipments, verify the accuracy of orders, and inspect goods for damage or defects. Document all received items and ensure they are properly stored. 
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through manual tracking methods and organize and label inventory items for easy retrieval and stocking. 
  • Picking and Packing: Fulfill customer orders by selecting the correct items from inventory shelves according to order specifications. Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected from damage during transit. 
  • Shipping: Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery by packing items into shipping trucks and affixing shipping labels. Ensure all shipments are processed in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines. 
  • Stocking and Shelving: Restock inventory shelves as needed to maintain adequate levels of stock. Organize warehouse shelves and storage areas to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient retrieval of items. 
  • Delivery of orders to Blake's locations

  • Quality Control: Inspect products for quality assurance purposes, identifying any discrepancies or defects and taking appropriate action to resolve issues. Report any quality concerns to supervisors or managers. 
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory items. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while operating equipment. 
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep warehouse facilities clean and organized by sweeping floors, removing debris, and maintaining a clutter-free work environment. 
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Participate in safety training programs and report any safety hazards or incidents to management. 
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with coworkers and other warehouse staff to complete tasks efficiently and meet operational goals. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions. Complete paperwork such as picking tickets, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping manifests as required. 
  • Customer Service: Aid customers or clients who visit the warehouse for pickups or deliveries. Address customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Prior forklift (Hi-Lo) experience preferred; on-site training provided 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, and bending for extended periods 
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying conditions 
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills
