Job Summary
Through hands-on experience in sports media, communications, and event coverage, this position supports the Athletics Department by enhancing the visibility and engagement of the volleyball program through digital media. This person will also assist with game day coordination to ensure successful execution of volleyball events.
Responsibilities
¿ Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
Social Media Content Creation:
¿ Develops and posts engaging content across GHC Volleyball social media platforms
¿ Ensures timely and brand-consistent messaging
¿ Captures high-quality action and candid shots/videos during volleyball events
Game Day Set Up:
¿ Game day operations that includes facility set up/breakdown
¿ Responsible for managing the arrival of visiting team
¿ Back up person for scoreboard operator and scorekeeper
¿ Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
¿ Currently enrolled as a GHC student in good academic standing
¿ Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a High School diploma or equivalent, while currently in a course of study related to the occupational field.
¿ Interest or experience in photography and social media
¿ Must be available to work evening/weekend hours during home games
Proposed Salary
$12.00 per hour
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
¿ Knowledge of social media management, video editing, photography, or journalism
¿ Strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions
¿ Solid understanding of Volleyball and its rules
¿ Professional, reliable, proactive, creative, and detail-oriented
