Job Description:
Role: Associate Test Engineer (Rapid Division - Front-End Assembly)
Build and assemble large semiconductor tools (room-sized systems)
Perform set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at system level.
Perform set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of wafer or Reticle handlers.
Determine and may develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
Perform ongoing daily work with minimal instruction, and with general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
May provide work assignment direction and technical training to peers.
Maintain tool schedules, complete alignment processes (milestones) per defined test times - work assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems
Support tool progression priorities -tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
Robots- system cabling. Installing optics, mechanical and electrical
Perform: Mechanical and electromechanical assembly
System cabling (2-3 days per tool)
Troubleshooting and integration
Software loading and basic system setup
Qualifications:
High school diploma + relevant experience
Experienced technicians (2-10+ years)
Hold a Technical Certificate, or AS degree, or military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline
BSME, BSEET or similar degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferred.
2-5 years of hands-on assembly experience required
Hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
Ability to work in a clean room environment is required.
Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications and test results.
Are able to use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers.
Work effectively across different functional teams in different locations.
Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English.
Strong mechanical aptitude and use of basic tools
Able to sustain heavy overtime schedule
Excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
Dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignments.
Ability to use a variety of testing and measuring instruments.
A willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement.
Able to work extended hours, including weekends.
Able to stand, sit, bend, climb 8 ft ladders, and periodically lift 30-50 pounds without assistance

Exposure to robotics, biotech equipment, or capital equipment builds is acceptable
Shift/Time: 2nd Shift Hours: 3-4:00 PM to 12:30 AM + OT required
