RN PACU Agency Position

Job Title: RN PACU Agency position. Float requirement includes PreOp, ECT, and GI Endoscopy. ECG exam is mandatory on Day 2 of orientation. Candidates must pass the ECG exam on the first attempt. Experience with EMR, specifically Epic, is preferred. Schedule is full time, 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shift length and start times may vary based on operational needs. Unit coverage operates from early morning to evening. Assignments will rotate between PreOp and PACU based on daily needs. Candidates must be comfortable with variable start times, including early shifts. On-call commitment includes rotating schedule every 6 weeks. Three weekend or holiday shifts and three weekday shifts are required. Must be comfortable with on-call expectations. Call includes both weekday and weekend/holiday shifts. Holidays include coverage during Inova-observed holidays. Nursing ratios are 2:1 in Phase 1 and 3:1 in Phase 2. Common cases include total joint arthroplasties, spine procedures, and general surgery. Population served consists of inpatient and outpatient surgical patients across multiple specialties. Pediatric patients ages 10 and older will be part of the patient demographic. Experience with pediatric patients is helpful but not required. Fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork.
