Job description

Position Overview Herdt is looking to add to our incredible team of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) professionals to support public sector clients in Central Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia. We are seeking consultants who have experience with Navy and/or Army ERP and are valued for their technical knowledge and business process expertise. This role involves navigating complex enterprise business systems through implementation and sustainment for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies. Position Duration: Full-time, Permanent Mandatory Certifications Education: U.S. Bachelor's Degree Key Responsibilities * System Support: Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise for public sector clients in the design, build, and sustainment of SAP ERP environments.
  • Technical Development: Assist in the development and execution of RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements) and complex workflow solutions.
  • Architecture Review: Collaborate on system architecture reviews involving SAP HANA, Basis, and Middleware components.
  • Data Management: Support data integrity through Master Data Management (MDM), Business Intelligence (BI), and BusinessObjects.
  • User Adoption: Facilitate knowledge transfer, training, and mentorship for government staff on Fiori, User Management, and NetWeaver Portal.
Project Leadership: Partner with clients at all levels to ensure business objectives are fully realized and compliant with DoDAF standards. Required Technical Skills Public Sector ERP: Direct experience with Navy ERP and/or Army ERP systems.
  • Functional Expertise: Extensive configuration experience in one or more areas: FI/CO, Funds Management (FM), Asset Management (AM), Project Systems (PS), or Supply Chain Management (SCM).
  • Logistics & Fulfillment: Deep knowledge of Materials Management (MM), IM/WM, Demand Planning, and Order Fulfillment (OF).
  • Technical Stack: Proficiency in SAP HANA, Basis, Middleware, and RICE development.
Workforce Management: Experience with HCM/WFM and associated DoD business processes. Preferred Skills & Experience Integration Tools: Experience with WebMethods, NetWeaver Portal, and Cloud services.
  • Advanced Reporting: Expertise in BusinessObjects, BI, and Fiori interface deployment.
  • Compliance: Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR) and DoDAF frameworks.
