Job description

·       Purpose:

In the initial phase, this role will primarily focus on migrating existing integrations from webMethods to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
These integrations will be reimplemented in CPI to ensure a controlled and future-proof transition.

From CPI, messages will be routed to the existing enterprise integration platform, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and vice versa. The role therefore sits at the heart of a hybrid integration landscape, ensuring reliable message flow and compatibility between legacy and modern integration technologies.

The objective is to support a gradual migration strategy while maintaining operational stability, data integrity, and business continuity throughout the transition.

·       Requirements:

We are looking for someone who

  • Has strong experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Integration / Integration Suite)
  • Has strong experience with with EDI integrations
    • EDIFACT,
    • ANSI X12,
    • chemXML,
    • IDoc mappings
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP and AS2 protocols
  • Hands-on experience of Webmethods is a pro
  • Hands-on experience of App Connect Enterprise is a pro
  • Is well organized and able to analyse and resolve integration issues quickly
  • Possesses strong troubleshooting skills, distinguishing between functional, mapping, and technical issues
  • Understands B2B / partner integrations and asynchronous messaging patterns
  • Communicates clearly with business users, SAP functional consultants, and technical teams
  • Is comfortable working with interfaces, mappings, adapters, certificates, and security
  • Has experience collaborating with remote teams across different time zones
  • Understands the business impact of integrations and data flows
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and sharing knowledge
  • Is fluent in English; fluency in the local language is a strong advantage
  • Holds a Bachelor or Master degree (or equivalent experience)
·       Scope:

You will operate within the Integration team and support integration processes used by employees, business units, and external partners across the entire organization.

·       Principal Responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Design, develop, and maintain SAP CPI integration flows
  • Build and support EDI-based integrations with external partners
  • Monitor integrations and proactively identify potential issues
  • Perform root cause analysis of failed or delayed messages
  • Handle interface errors, data inconsistencies, and communication issues
  • Implement enhancements and small changes to existing integrations
  • Ensure integrations follow security, performance, and reliability best practices
  • Ensure continuous service delivery aligned with agreed service levels
  • Track and document known issues, solutions, and integration patterns
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date integration documentation
  • Support and guide internal users where integration-related questions arise
  • Stay up to date with SAP Integration Suite and EDI best practices
  • Use ServiceNow for incident, change, and request management
