Job description

Title : Project Manager
Location: Des Moines, IA 50309 (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week as needed)
Contract Duration: 4+ Months (with potential renewal)
Interview: Webcam or in-person

Key Responsibilities
Adhere to project governance structures, using required methodologies, templates, and reporting for multiple current and future IT projects.
Develop project schedules, identify and staff resource needs, procure vendor products/services, and submit funding requests.
Manage delivery efforts, track progress, monitor schedules, and provide status updates via a common reporting mechanism.
Gather and define business requirements; build project plans; conduct meetings; and ensure adherence to quality standards and deliverables.
Interact with business/IT teams, state government stakeholders, and upper-level committees to educate, align, and drive outcomes.
Break down complex tasks, manage scope creep to deliver minimum viable products, and escalate issues as needed.
Demonstrate strong process development, gap analysis, and continuous improvement in portfolio/project/program management.
Required Qualifications
8+ years direct management of system integration projects.
8+ years managing stakeholder expectations and priorities.
8+ years working within project governance structures (methodologies, templates, reporting).
8+ years extensive experience planning, managing, and tracking multiple major-impact projects.
8+ years strong process development skills to interpret, document, and formalize procedures.
8+ years strong process and gap analysis skills.
8+ years excellent project management skills, multitasking in cross-functional environments with changing priorities.
6+ years experience gathering/documenting business requirements with users.
6+ years prioritizing and managing multiple projects/deadlines.
