Job description

The Campus Life Coordinator provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support for the Center for Campus Life while overseeing the day-to-day management of the department's physical office space and shared resources. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient office operations, coordinating departmental communications, purchasing, budgeting, student employment processes, and operational systems. The coordinator supports student organizations through event logistics, space reservations, engagement platforms, and resource management, while assisting with New Student Orientation, commuter services, and Campus Life programming. The position supervises student employees, collaborates with campus partners to support major University initiatives and events, and contributes to a welcoming, student-centered environment that fosters engagement, belonging, and student success. Evening and weekend work is required to support departmental and University programs and events.
Office Operations (40%)
  • Manages all primary communications for the Campus Life main office
  • Aid in the day-to-day operations/functions/services and programs of all offices in the Center of Campus Life
  • Maintain the Campus Life calendar and scheduling of appointments
  • Develop Staff meeting agendas and take minutes
  • Coordinate payment processes such as check requests, reimbursements, and credit card receipts.
  • Assist Director in the management of the office budget
  • Manage timesheets for all student leaders and work-study students
  • Oversee the student conference and membership reimbursement process
  • Coordinate the department's inventory of office and event supplies
  • Oversee the package process for office and student organizations
  • Pull report data for Student Affairs monthly snapshots

Engagement Operations (25%)
  • Responsible for the recruitment, supervision, and development of a team of student employees and office managers for the main office and Cardinal Booth.
  • Manage the student ticketing booth called the Cardinal Booth.
  • Provides operational support for Campus Life student leaders and clubs/professional organizations including room reservations, work orders, and purchases
  • Coordinate facilities work orders for all Campus Life programs
  • Monitor, manage, and approve all event space approvals for the Atrium & Cardinal Lounge, along with assisting in supporting student organization room reservations within the Astra platform
  • Assist with the operational tasks of the department's involvement platforms, such as the Cardinal Pride Portal, Comevo, and University Tickets
  • Coordinate the use of student engagement software (currently Cardinal Pride Portal) to create and promote student programs and events, manage budgets, monitor student participation, add in users and ensure compliance with divisional and university guidelines.

Commuter Resources (10%)
  • Oversee bi-annual MBTA Pass Program, including ordering, organizing the sale, coordinating student pickup and email communications
  • Manage the E-Scooter registration process

Orientation (10%)
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of the New Student, Transfer and Family/Guest Orientation programs for the Boston Campus
  • Manages all primary communications for orientation-related needs
  • Oversee Orientation registration, rosters, and attendance
  • Coordinate the virtual MCPHS Orientation called Connect on the Comevo platform with our 2 other MCPHS campuses

Programming (10%)
  • Plan two Late Night Breakfast programs, once a semester
  • Coordinate the Campus Life student leader appreciation event
  • Purchase and advertise Boston based ticketing events such as sporting games, Broadway shows and more

Other duties (5%)
  • Assist with large-scale Campus Life programs such as Welcome Week, Campus Life Fair, Family Weekend, Harvest Ball, ClamBQ, Leadership Awards Banquet and Senior events.
  • Assist with University-wide programs such as Accepted Students Day, Commencement, and Move-In Day
  • Participate in training and workshops related to professional development
  • Night and weekend work expected
  • Other duties as assigned

Required:
  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to problem solve, use good judgment, and think critically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, ability to move between offices and floors of buildings
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at the designated worksite during scheduled work hours
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
