They assist with implementing behavior intervention plans, monitoring progress, and providing virtual reinforcement and guidance. Using video conferencing and other online tools, VBTs help clients develop skills in communication, social interaction, and daily living. As a Virtual Behavioral Technician, your day often involves leading remote ABA therapy sessions, implementing behavior intervention plans, and monitoring client progress through secure telehealth platforms. You'll regularly document sessions, track data, and communicate with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to discuss client goals or adjustments to treatment strategies. The majority of your interactions will be virtual, requiring a quiet workspace and reliable internet connection. Collaboration with families and caregivers is also key, as you may provide training or updates to support client success at home.
