Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Develop and increases special market high-end player profitability by building strong professional relationships, actively acquiring new VIP business, encouraging club card utilization, and providing superior service and recognition.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

  • Manage player accounts and comps based on recorded play, earned points, comp availability and patron profitability.
  • Identify, solicit and register high-end/special market players.
  • Assist premium/special market customers with reservations and acquisition of amenities and work closely with casino operations to ensure that high limit players are recognized and acknowledged. 
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity/responsibility in handling Harrah's Hoosier Park assets.
  • Assist with maintenance of players as required, including on and off property VIP special event coverage and other departmental needs.
  • Provide superior level of guest service and be available to meet and greet premium/special market customers while they are on property.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility throughout the facility during the majority of the shift.
  • Maintains close ties with targeted customers through personal contact by phone and in person in order to generate incremental gaming revenues. 
  • Maintain an appropriate working knowledge of Indiana State Gaming Regulations and established Harrah's Hoosier Park policies and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of property, product, promotions, and events. 
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift and long hours when necessary to including working evening, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, team building, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to resolve stressful situations. 
  • Must be able to make sound complimentary decisions based on tracked customer play. 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work under pressure, handle situations in a timely manner and work independently.
  • Analytical skills and customer service orientation required.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in an efficient manner. 
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is required.
  • Assist with the execution of on and off property premium player promotions, events, and programs.
  • Maintain appropriate and professional attire. 
  • Maintain an appropriate and professional business relations with guest at all times.
  • Update account information through utilization of IGT Patron Management.
  • Follow all submissions, SOP's, and IGC requirements. 
  • Responsible for contacting casino guests and lists assigned.
    • Duties include:
      • Comp decisions and Patron Profitability
      • Scheduling/attending dinners and events
      • Sales of products/venues/events and relationship building.
  • Build strong relationships with their personal list of players that are specifically coded in the Executive Host's name.
  • Responsible for year-over-year revenue growth for all their coded players.
  • Entrusted with the highest complimentary authority of all hosts.
  • Responsible for the development of high theoretical new members.
  • Assist with planning, coordination and execution of events, promotions and sales initiatives designed to attract and maintain high-end players. 
  • Plan and attend on and off-site VIP events, administer the benefits of the reward program and provide personalized sales and service to VIP guests. 
  • Maintain aggressive contact with assigned VIP guests via telemarketing, written correspondence, email and personal interaction. 
  • Consistently deliver on all departmental and individual sales goals. 
  • Serve as a player expert for casino gaming, simulcasting, and racing. 
  • Also Requires: ability to multi-task, keen eye for detail, excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, outstanding communication skills (verbal and written), strong fiscal acumen, display professionalism and maintain professional appearance.
  • Other duties may be assigned at any time. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English verbal and written with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical data, financial reports, and internal controls. Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, staff, or members of the business community.  Ability to write letters and promotional materials for distribution or publication that conform to a prescribed style and format. 
  • Fluent in Vietnamese. Ability to respond professionally to common inquires or complaints from customers ,regulatory agencies, staff or members of the business community. 
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from two to four-year college; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Flexible with working various shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours if applicable. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • Responsible for fostering a fun environment. Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers. Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company- sponsored events. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures that behavior and appearance comply with established standards. Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to push/pull or lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally push/pull or lift up to 25 pounds.  
  • Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handles, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and Indiana Horse Racing Commission. Will require access to all general areas of the gaming and racing facility, back-of-house areas and access to Patron Management data base and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work in an environment where you are exposed to secondary smoke, occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and the noise level in the working environment is usually moderate.
