Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Artist (Unity) at a developing (P2) level who is passionate about game development and visual presentation. This role is ideal for individuals with foundational experience in Unity, VFX, and game pipelines, who are eager to grow and contribute to high-quality gaming products.

The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including artists, engineers, and producers to support development, improve workflows, and ensure high-quality delivery of game features.

What You Will Do
  • Support development of game features and presentation elements within Unity 
  • Work on VFX elements including particle systems, shaders, and materials 
  • Assist in test planning, edge-case validation, and QA support 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery 
  • Communicate project status, risks, and challenges effectively 
  • Contribute to debugging and resolving game scene or performance issues 
  • Support implementation of features ensuring they are testable and meet quality standards 
  • Participate in design discussions and contribute to feature planning
Skills & Responsibilities
  • Work with Unity tools including particle systems, shaders, and visual effects 
  • Apply standard workflows and development practices 
  • Maintain and update workflows using project management tools 
  • Identify and communicate risks related to performance and visual clarity 
  • Manage tasks effectively and meet delivery timelines
  • Support integration and testing of game features
What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • Basic understanding of game development concepts (UI, lighting, game rules, etc.) 
  • Experience or familiarity with Unity (VFX, shaders, materials) 
  • Knowledge of Agile workflows and collaboration tools 
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot common issues with guidance 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills 
  • Understanding of multiple product types (e.g., Stepper, Video games) 


Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to different SDKs or game engines 
  • Experience working across multiple platforms or cabinet types 
  • Familiarity with performance optimization in Unity 


Experience

  • Experience contributing to features or fixes within a project 
  • Participation in feature design with guidance from senior team members 
  • Exposure to full project lifecycle (at least one project contribution) 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (artists, engineers, QA)

For this role, the starting compensation range is $58,380 to $108,600, with flexibility to adjust higher or lower based on the full scope of qualifications.
