Job description

About Plug

Plug is one of the fastest-growing ecommerce companies in St. Louis, backed by multiple Fortune 500 partners. We sell certified pre-owned smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and accessories: a smarter, more affordable, and more sustainable alternative to buying new.

With 8M+ followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, we have built one of the largest and most engaged communities in tech. New York Times Wirecutter Best Experience. Responsible Recycler certified. Over one million pounds of e-waste diverted. We are not just a brand. We are a movement, and we are just getting started.

How We Work

Plug runs on ownership. We move fast, expect a lot, and give people the autonomy to match. No politics. No hand-holding. No ambiguity about what winning looks like. Every person here operates with a founder mindset: clear on the goal, accountable for the outcome, proud of the work.

If you want a front-row seat to building something that matters, this is the place. If you want a job where someone tells you exactly what to do every day, this isn’t it.

The Role

We are looking for a creative, highly organized Social Media Coordinator who is deeply tapped into digital culture. You will work directly with and report to the VP of Social, supporting the social media team in developing content and managing the day-to-day posting, monitoring, and coordination of Plug’s channels across all major platforms.

This can be an entry-level role. You do not need years of experience, but you need to show creative work that demonstrates taste, design sensibility, and attention to detail. You will translate brand strategy into content that drives visibility, followership, and real results.

What You Will Own
  • Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) that showcase Plug’s products, promotions, and mission.
  • Support the development and execution of social content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Forward-plan Plug’s social media calendar by coordinating across teams and ensuring all content is timely and on-brand.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and cultural moments and keep the social team informed.
  • Plan, organize, and host live shopping events on social platforms to showcase products and drive conversions.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, sales, and customer support to ensure smooth live event execution.
  • Track performance metrics for each live stream (attendance, engagement, conversions) and use insights to sharpen future events.
  • Manage daily posting, community engagement, and content scheduling across all active Plug channels.
  • Engage with users across platforms, responding to questions and comments in a timely, on-brand way.
  • Monitor and analyze social performance data to optimize campaigns, identify trends, and inform broader marketing decisions.
What We Are Looking For
  • You are deeply tapped into digital and social culture. You know what is trending before it is everywhere, and you know what to do with that.
  • You are comfortable on camera and confident enough to host live events and appear in video content without a script.
  • You write well in both English and Spanish and can adapt your tone and style across platforms and audiences.
  • You have a strong eye for design, aesthetics, and storytelling. Your content looks intentional.
  • You are proficient in short-form video editing using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or InShot.
  • You are familiar with social media management platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar) and native analytics tools.
  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects without letting anything slip.
  • You are a motivated self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively, and you bring solutions, not problems.
  • You can show samples of creative work from previous jobs, freelance, internships, school projects, or personal projects. We want to see what you have made.
  • A background in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Live streaming or webinar hosting experience is also a plus.
The Bottom Line

We are building something real in St. Louis and we need people who want to be part of it. If you can look at a camera, connect with an audience in two languages, and turn views into customers, we want to talk.

Equal Opportunity

Plug is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
