We are seeking a qualified individual to serve as Product Manager for Stone and Metal Roofing as we strive toward ProVia's vision: to be the premier building products manufacturer, providing unmatched quality and service. This person will guide the future of ProVia's Stone and Metal Roofing product lines. The Product Manager will be immersed in the market to maintain a deep understanding of the needs of customers, including dealers, distributors, and installers, as well as homeowners. Based on market demands, they will set the strategic vision and define the "why," "what," and "when" of our product roadmap for Stone and Metal Roofing. This clear strategy is essential because it will help the product team make sound decisions, with each initiative tying back to actual business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep a pulse on category market dynamics:
    • Homeowners: Use internal and external resources to understand changes in preferences or demand.
    • Customers, including dealers, distributors, and installers: Actively engage with the sales team and directly with customers to capture feedback on challenges and opportunities.
  • Generate and prioritize product innovation ideas by leveraging internal and external input to prioritize projects based on value to customers, homeowners, and the business.
  • Create the product roadmap - a multi-year timeline showing how the product portfolio will evolve through innovation, including new products, marketing tools, and other initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams that will bring the roadmap to life, including sales, customer support, manufacturing, engineering, customers, and leadership.
  • Own the product lifecycle, with responsibility for products from concept through launch and ongoing lifecycle management (launches, enhancements, discontinuations, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager - Siding/Stone/Roofing to ensure initiatives are launched smoothly and customers are equipped with the right tools (printed materials, samples, displays, presentations, etc.).

Working Style, Knowledge, and Skills Required
  • The candidate must uphold and represent ProVia's Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • A track record of building relationships and thriving in collaborative environments.
  • Exhibits a high degree of initiative and strong project management skills, with the ability to take projects from idea to completion.
  • Possesses a growth mindset with a strong focus on continuous program improvement.
  • Demonstrates a data-driven mindset and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience presenting to a variety of audiences, including customers and internal leadership.
  • Skilled at translating technical information into relevant stories for customers, homeowners, and ProVia team members.
  • Heart of a teacher: willingness to train internal and external audiences as they seek to understand the product line.
  • Experience setting and delivering on short- and long-term plans, including multi-year plans.

  • Experience with building materials, manufacturing, or other durable goods is preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel is focused on spending time with ProVia Account Managers, customers, suppliers, and team members at our Metal Roofing manufacturing facility in Booneville, Mississippi. Local travel to our Cherry Ridge manufacturing facility is common, as the Product Manager engages with our stone manufacturing and customer support teams.
