Job description

We are looking for experienced and reliable Traffic Control Flagger's in the area who are interested in long-term career growth. At Vector, we offer clear opportunities for professional advancement and value team members who are committed and driven.

Position Overview:

This position works in a fast-paced outdoor environment, directing traffic, setting up safe work zones, and helping protect crew members and the public. Ideal candidates are safety-focused team players who enjoy hands-on work and are looking for long-term career growth opportunities within the traffic management and construction support industry.


Responsibilities:

• Direct and control traffic safely through construction and utility work zones using approved traffic control procedures.

• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including signs, cones, barricades, and warning equipment.

• Conduct daily safety checks and follow all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.

• Load, unload, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on traffic control equipment and company vehicles.

• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public to ensure safe traffic flow.

• Complete daily activity logs, equipment inspections, and other required documentation.

• Travel to various job sites throughout the West Palm Beach area and assist with work zone operations as needed.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Previous traffic control, flagging, construction, or roadway maintenance experience preferred.

• ATSSA Flagger Certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification through company-sponsored training.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift equipment, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Strong communication skills, attention to safety, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Flexible availability to work early mornings, overtime, weekends, and nights when project demands require.

• Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and ongoing DOT-regulated drug and alcohol testing.
