Implant Support TechnicianCompany Overview

Pan-Am Dental Laboratory is a full-service dental laboratory that partners with dental professionals to design and fabricate a wide range of dental restorations and appliances. With a focus on quality, consistency and clinical accuracy, Pan-Am Prides itself with Happy patients and happy business partners.  Headquartered in Savannah, GA, Pan-Am Has two additional locations in Houston, TX and Sandy, UT – allowing us to serve a base of clients covering the entire country.

Position Summary

Pan-Am Dental is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Implant Support Technician to join our Implant team. This position focuses primarily on digital case management, file preparation, implant case coordination, and CAD design support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with digital dental files, implant workflows, and CAD/CAM software while ensuring cases are accurately organized, reviewed, and prepared for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, review, and organize incoming digital implant case files from doctors and internal departments.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of digital submissions, including scans, prescriptions, photographs, and implant information.
  • Manage digital workflows and case tracking to ensure timely progression through the laboratory.
  • Prepare and manipulate digital files for design and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with dentists, clinicians, and laboratory personnel to obtain missing information and resolve case-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all implant cases.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure files are properly prepared and routed for manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and assist in resolving scanning, file compatibility, and implant library concerns.
  • Perform quality control reviews of digital designs and case setups prior to production.
  • Stay current with advancements in digital dentistry, implant systems, and CAD/CAM technologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Some dental background
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with digital file management, case tracking, and data organization
  • Excellent customer service and ability to manage questions and concerns from dental offices via phone and email
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Experience with implant restorative workflows and implant systems (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with exocad, 3Shape, or similar dental CAD software preferred
  • Knowledge of intraoral scanning technology and digital impressions
