Join NEXCOM for an exciting 18-month project supporting Ecommerce, digital content, and enterprise marketing operations in a fast-paced collaborative environment. This short-term position offers benefits and is eligible for remote work.
Please note: internally within NEXCOM, this role will be classified as a CONTENT PRODUCTION MANAGER.
Job Summary
Position has responsibility for collecting, organizing, formatting, and editing all content for different NEXCOM system-wide marketing channels, including but not limited to catalogs, circulars, tabloids, flyers, web, social media, and email. In addition, the position has responsibility for the development, implementation, communication, and enforcement of all technical content standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supports Ecommerce Merchandising Director for overall company and web business strategies and vision.
  • Creates strategic initiatives to enhance overall content. Able to use key business and user insights to create a long-term vision for generated content. This can include conducting content audits, qualitative and quantitative research, GAP analyses, and SWOT analyses.
  • Establishes and enforces content standards across marketing channels.
  • Implements process improvements that are competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
  • Manages web items without content lists to ensure team productivity and efficient task completion.
  • Manages project schedules for deliverables and deadlines according to weekly marketing cadence.
  • Assists with web content tasks during high-output timeframes and special projects.
  • Collects, organizes, formats, and edits copy content, including web product photos.
  • Loads copy, video, and size chart content into Oracle program BCC.
  • Loads daily images formatted to standards into FTP.
  • Loads video to organization YouTube channel.
  • Available on call for web changes, corrections, or issues with web store items or content.
  • Uses site metrics, customer feedback, and related data to identify focus areas and opportunities that improve customer experience.
  • Stays informed of competitors' strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for NEX.
  • Maintains expertise on industry trends through advanced training and development to drive innovation.

Team Responsibilities
  • Supervises all Content Management Specialists.
  • Manages and delegates workload among content team members.
  • Acts as liaison between content and buying teams as needed.
  • Trains new associates using established best practices for processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Reports pending items without content to management when needed.
  • Responsible for development and continuous training of content team, encouraging growth and future opportunities within the organization.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) on technical projects and provides testing support as needed.
  • Collaborates with Web Merchandising, Marketing, and Graphic departments to execute content strategies.

Technical Skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with Ecommerce platforms and systems preferred, such as Oracle products.
  • Understands HTML requirements for web content and web panels.
  • Expected to remain knowledgeable through ongoing technical training according to industry standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years experience in administrative professional technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to perform writing techniques and practices demonstrate skill in dealing with other associates analyze problems and recognize solutions using sound judgment.
OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a four year bachelor s degree for three years of general experience.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience writing editing copy and manipulating correcting images using a creative software suite which provided background in 1. Type fonts and fitting copy to page layouts. 2. Color correcting and editing images. 3. Meeting all printer standards on digital files. 3. Meeting multiple interim and final deadlines for simultaneous projects. 4. Clearly articulating procedures and priorities to other associates.
