Key Accountabilities
  • Support the Shipping and receiving functions of the department along with Logistics planning
  • Maintains all documentation of inbound and outbound shipments for quality and accurate deliveries
  • Coordinate carrier schedule with corporate traffic department to ensure timely and efficient warehouse operation and delivery
  • Schedules and distributes work assignments to warehouse personnel according to inbound and outbound carrier traffic
  • Arranges for inbound transportation services and assists in the coordination of all other shipments at assigned plant locations
  • Prepare Bill of Ladings for truck drivers and filing them correctly
  • Enter receipts into SAP inventory management system
  • Filing shipping and receiving documents accurately and timely
  • Coordinates all activities surrounding the distribution of finished goods out of and the receipt of raw materials into the facility. Work extensively with corporate Logistics, plant distribution, and scheduling department to accomplish this. Plays a key role in physical inventory, and utilizes SAP system for distribution department
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
  • Overtime hours may be required based on work demand. Employee must be flexible with hours
  • Support the Shipping and receiving functions of the department along with Logistics planning
  • Maintains all documentation of inbound and outbound shipments for quality and accurate deliveries
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Operate equipment, such as forklifts, to move warehouse materials
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills, and ability to consistently read and record alphanumeric codes.
  • Computer knowledge: basics skills/usage. SAP experience preferred.
  • Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members, other employees, and truck drivers.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Forklift experience required

Work Environment
  • Production areas are noisy; regular use of ear plugs/muffs required.
  • Safety glasses and safety footwear (steel toe, non-slip) required.
  • Hair and beard nets required.
  • Some areas are dusty.
  • Operating forklift including repeatedly getting on and off throughout the shift.
  • Regular walking, standing, bending, and twisting.

Compensation
  • Hourly compensation for this position is based on skills and experience, ranging from $18.50 - $24.50
