Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager of Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, responsibilities 
and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic planning for all hotel departments to support service culture, optimize guest experience, improve operational performance, and deliver a balanced scorecard meeting stakeholder expectations;
  • Consistently offer professional, warm, and engaging service, embodying the establishment’s values and standards;
  • Support the General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel, acting on their behalf in their absence;
  • Oversee all hotel operations, including food & beverage, rooms division, security, engineering, golf, activities and wellness center, and project management, while ensuring operational efficiency and consistency;
  • Monitor, analyze, and control costs while optimizing operational efficiency and compliance with operating controls;
  • Develop and implement operational strategies for hotel restaurants to enhance service quality and guest satisfaction;
  • Actively lead initiatives related to obtaining and maintaining Michelin Key and Green Key distinctions;
  • Lead and engage teams by fostering a solution-oriented, collaborative, motivating, and engaging work environment to deliver industry-leading service;
  • Guide and support all departments in achieving their financial and operational objectives through a positive culture, clear expectations, and effective policies and procedures;
  • Participate in the preparation, presentation, and execution of the annual operating budget, marketing and sales plan, and capital budget, ensuring timelines and forecast accuracy;
  • Ensure continuous updating and implementation of the hotel’s emergency preparedness plan;
  • Approve contracts, purchase orders, and expense authorizations (AFE) in collaboration with the Regional Director of Finance;
  • Actively participate in recruitment for leadership positions within operational departments;
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures, and service standards;
  • Work closely with teams to exceed performance objectives, including: 
    • Guest Engagement: VOG / RPS
    • Employee Engagement: EES
  • Perform any other related tasks according to operational needs. 
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role within a similar hotel group is required;
  • Strong expertise in hotel operations and deep understanding of operational, financial, and human challenges;
  • University or college degree in a related field preferred;
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and quality;
  • Natural alignment with luxury hospitality standards and strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams;
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to remain calm, courteous, and guestoriented at all times
