Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and safety-focused Unarmed Patient Transport Security Officers to assist with the secure transportation of patients between hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout Colorado.
This position combines safe vehicle operation with compassionate customer service. Officers are responsible for helping ensure patients arrive safely and comfortably while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with company procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Patient Transportation
- Safely transport patients between hospitals, medical facilities, and approved healthcare destinations throughout Colorado.
- Assist with patient loading and unloading while following established safety procedures.
- Help maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment during transport.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff regarding transport status and arrival times.
Safety & Security
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each shift.
- Follow defensive driving practices and all traffic laws.
- Monitor patient well-being throughout transport and report concerns according to company procedures.
- Respond appropriately to unexpected situations while prioritizing patient safety.
Documentation
- Complete transport logs and required documentation accurately.
- Record mileage, transport information, and any unusual incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policies.
- Report vehicle concerns, delays, or operational issues promptly.
Professional Service
- Represent Citadel Security USA with professionalism at hospitals and medical facilities.
- Provide courteous service to patients, healthcare professionals, and facility staff.
- Follow all transportation protocols and client requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized transport vehicle.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 23 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days or nights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, patient transportation, healthcare support, EMS, medical transport, or customer service.
- Comfortable driving throughout Colorado in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Ability to remain calm while assisting individuals with varying medical needs.
Physical Requirements
- Safely operate company vehicles for extended periods.
- Assist patients entering and exiting transport vehicles when appropriate.
- Frequently walk, stand, bend, and enter or exit vehicles.
- Lift or assist with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds when necessary.
- Maintain alertness during long-distance travel assignments.

- Regular travel between hospitals and healthcare facilities across Colorado.

- Frequent interaction with patients, nurses, physicians, and hospital personnel.
