Job description

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Driver Trainer & Leadership Functions

Onboarding & Mentorship: Conduct "ride-alongs" with new hires to evaluate driving skills, route knowledge, and customer service etiquette.

Technical Training: Train staff on the DriverAnywhere.net platform, electronic logging, and flight-tracking protocols.

Evaluation: Provide objective feedback to management regarding trainee progress and readiness for solo duty.

Safety Advocacy: Actively identify and report traffic hazards (construction, weather, accidents) to the fleet to ensure collective safety.

Transport & Operational Duties

Safe Transit: Execute contracted trips in a lawful, professional, and timely manner.

Client Relations: Greet clients within 30 seconds of contact; handle questions and concerns with immediate professionalism.

Logistics: Monitor real-time flight statuses and shift schedules via company software to ensure zero-lag pickups.

Financial Integrity: Securely collect client payments and protect sensitive customer financial/identifying information.

Fleet Maintenance: Perform daily "clean and tidy" inspections (inside/out); fuel vehicles and report mechanical issues to management immediately.

Trailer Proficiency: Master the ability to back cars/vans with trailers in high-pressure or tight-clearance environments.

Required Skill Set

Stress Management: Ability to maintain total composure during emergency situations or high-volume peak periods.

Spatial Awareness: Exceptional eyesight, hearing, manual dexterity, and coordination.

Technical Literacy: Ability to quickly learn and navigate GPS systems, driver confirmation software, and email.

Limited Assistance Protocol: Understand and strictly follow "no-lift" policies (offering only a hand for assistance) unless a client is in a wheelchair.

Local Knowledge: A strong memory for Anchorage-area destinations, routes, and "shortcut" contingencies for weather/traffic events.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work is performed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment headquartered in Anchorage.

Tobacco-Free: All vehicles and facilities are strictly smoke-free.

Shift Work: Shifts are typically 8 hours, 40 hours per week, but operate within a 24-hour window.

Nature of Work: Includes long periods of sitting, punctuated by bursts of high physical activity (loading luggage/cargo) and high-stress decision-making.

Note: Training sessions may occasionally occur outside of your standard shift hours and are a required condition of employment.
