Temporary Sermon Writing Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Role Description:

This role works alongside the Communications team to develop and implement marketing strategies for church-wide campaigns and ministry initiatives while managing project timelines and requests in Wrike. This role collaborates with the Communications Copywriter to craft campaign messaging that reflects the NewSpring voice and support digital content across YouTube, podcasts, emails, social media, the app, and the website-including business listings, email and text communications, and weekly Sunday gatherings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the church's vision, ministries, campaigns, and events under the direction of the Communications team
• Work alongside the communications team to design and execute communication plans for:
  • Church-wide campaigns
  • Ministry initiatives
• Identifying engagement strategies to reach the target audience or persona as directed
• Help establish key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of a marketing initiative.
• Work within the project management system to keep all projects organized and built out.
• Work in collaboration with the Communications Copy Writer to develop campaign messaging in alignment with the NewSpring voice
• Assist in creating and managing digital content for platforms such as YouTube, podcasts, emails, social media, the app, and the website.
• Assist in creating and managing all 13 NewSpring Business campus pages for Google, Apple, Church Finder, Yelp, etc.
• Help build and execute and independently build, schedule and send email and text communications.
• Update website and app content, including events, sermon notes, and podcasts.

• Support digital content creation for NewSpring YouTube, podcast, emails, social media, app, and website.
• Support weekly gatherings by assisting the YouTube online hosting team and, when needed, hosting the YouTube online chat, helping people navigate the gathering, and providing clear calls to action to grow in an everyday relationship with Jesus.
• Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
  

Role Requirements:

• This role is part time 25 hours per week.
• This role is being performed on a temporary basis, to cover maternity leave at NewSpring Church.
• This role adheres to a standard schedule, knowing it may fluctuate at times & based on certain needs. Standard schedule is:
  • Sunday: 8:30am to 12:30pm
  • Monday: Flexible
  • Tuesday: Flexible
  • Wednesday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Thursday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
