Job description

Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing and maintaining financial records and reports across multiple general ledgers in a multi-entity company. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of accounting information through meticulous recording and reconciliation of various transactions.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain financial records and reports of multiple general ledgers for a multi-entity company.
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording a variety of transactions each month and performing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts as part of month and year-end close.
  • Reconcile various intercompany accounts to ensure transactions are recorded in the proper period and agree to related company balances.
  • Record bi-weekly payroll journal entries and applicable payroll accruals.
  • Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation records.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Support external audits and provide requested documentation.
  • Assist with sales and income tax filings and regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and accounting records.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in general ledger, accounting, reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
  • Ability to perform journal entries and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Strong finance, budgeting, and analysis skills.
  • Experience with financial statement and financial reporting.
  • Comfortable communicating over the phone.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • CPA Certification is a plus.
  • Public Accounting Experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is fully onsite with standard working hours from 8am to 5pm, though flexibility with hours is available. This role offers the opportunity for growth into an accounting manager position. It is a brand new role, not a backfill, offering a fresh start for a motivated individual.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
