As a Fashion Closet Assistant, you'll play an essential role in keeping our fashion operations running seamlessly while supporting editors and stylists on everything from daily market appointments to major editorial productions.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Maintain and organize the fashion closet, ensuring all samples are accurately logged, stored, and returned on schedule.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing fashion sample shipments, messenger deliveries, and returns while maintaining detailed inventory records.
  • Coordinate sample requests and returns with public relations teams, fashion brands, and showrooms, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Support fashion editors during photo shoots, market appointments, events, and Fashion Month by preparing garments, accessories, and styling materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure sample accountability and accurate tracking within the department's inventory system.
  • Assist with unpacking, steaming, organizing, packing, and transporting fashion samples for editorial shoots and special projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the fashion team, including scheduling, calendar management, and expense reporting.
  • Research emerging designers, runway trends, and market developments to support editorial initiatives as needed.


Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 1+ year of experience, or prior internship experience, in fashion, editorial, styling, retail, public relations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with fashion inventory systems is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move garment racks, sample boxes, and shipments as needed.
  • Passion for luxury fashion, runway collections, and editorial storytelling.
  • Ability to work in our New York City office four days per week.
     

The base pay for this role is $18.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure sample accountability.

  • Support the fashion team with administrative tasks, including scheduling, expense reports, and calendar management.
  • Help research emerging designers, runway trends, and market developments as needed.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with PR contacts and industry partners.
