Job Description

The Carpenter assists in the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of buildings. The Carpenter helps keep the jobsite clean and orderly according to CCI standards and is responsible for assisting construction staff on site. A fundamental knowledge of carpentry tools, techniques, and materials and an ability to be dependable and on time are essential for this position.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Arrive at jobsite on time and ready to work
  • Meet goals and expectations in your Plan of Action (POA) as described by your supervisor in a timely manner
  • Assist in all phases of the construction process
  • Follow instructions and execute tasks with little supervision
  • Display an interest in learning and a positive attitude
  • Have a strong understanding of geometry and math
  • Have a full understanding of safety requirements and follow safety protocol
  • Know how to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently
  • Learn and use communication tools with all members of the team, especially in Outlook
  • Learn to read blueprints and do quality take-offs
  • Clean up all CCI jobs to the standards and requirements of CCI policy
  • Bill all project-related hours worked to the appropriate project(s)
  • Perform any other task(s) requested by CCI


Hiring Requirements

  • Two to seven years of experience
  • Dependable and timely
  • Ability to follow directions quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Valid Drivers License and dependable transportation
  • Proficiency in Smart Phone/Tablet App skills to use Procore

Compensation and Benefits

This is an hourly position. The hourly range is $25-$35 DOE. Clark Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

In addition, Clark offers the following benefits to full-time staff with this position:


Paid Time Off: 80 hours per calendar year of paid time off (PTO) for sick, vacation, and personal time.

Insurance: Employees are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance on their rst day of work. We offer two options for health care insurance and pay 100% of the employees monthly premium for either option. Health care insurance is available for spouses and dependent(s); however, the employee is responsible for 50% of the premium for his/her spouse and dependent(s). Additional supplemental insurance benefits including Hospital Indemnity, Accident, Critical Illness, Life and AD&D Insurance may be purchased through CCIs policy with The Hartford at your own expense.


401K: CCI has a 401K program to assist employees in saving for retirement. Employees are eligible to designate how much they would like to contribute to their 401K account starting their rst day of work. CCI offers a 401k match program, matching up to 4% of the employee's annual pay.


Cell Stipend:You are eligible to receive a $500/year cell phone stipend, paid quarterly at the end of each quarter. You must be employed during the entire quarter to be eligible for that period.
