Job Summary
A clinical postdoctoral research fellow position is open in the newly formed Michigan Institute for Imaging Technology and Translation (MIITT) in the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Applicants will work with MIITT department faculty to complete translational MRI research studies.
The research fellow will collaborate with faculty and postdoctoral fellows to evaluate novel MRI technologies and apply these technologies to assess clinical outcomes. The fellow will be expected to participate in study participant screening and recruitment, operation of the scanner, data acquisition and analysis, image evaluation, and statistical analysis. The fellow will also be expected to prepare manuscripts and conference abstracts related to projects and will be expected to prepare preliminary data for grant proposals.
Responsibilities*
  • 30%-Multi-Disciplinary or Translational Project Planning and Coordination
  • 10% - Participant recruitment, screening, consent
  • 30% - MRI Data Collection and Data Analysis
  • 15% - MR Image Evaluation and Annotation
  • 15%-Conference Abstract and Manuscript Preparation

Required Qualifications*
Applicants should have a medical degree (M.D., M.B.B.S., or equivalent.
Translational projects will require the postdoctoral fellow to work with faculty to plan study methods, draft IRB protocols, and carry out the project as detailed. It is essential that applicants have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and leadership qualities. Fellows will be encouraged to work in a collaborative group setting, and will interact with multiple faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and student trainees.
The postdoctoral research fellow will be expected to prepare manuscripts and conference abstracts related to projects and will be expected to prepare preliminary data for grant proposals.
