Job Title: Packager

Job Description

The Packager prepares products for shipment by carefully wrapping, boxing, crating, and palletizing items while maintaining high quality standards and following detailed production instructions. This role involves working with basic hand and power tools, performing visual inspections and simple tests, and supporting a variety of custom production tasks in a clean, organized, and collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Select and wrap products in appropriate protective materials to prevent damage during handling and shipment.
  • Box, crate, palletize, and stretch-wrap products according to production requirements and shipping specifications.
  • Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to support packaging and related tasks.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality throughout the packaging process, promptly reporting any issues or defects.
  • Read and interpret production paperwork, diagrams, and work instructions to complete tasks accurately.
  • Perform testing of parts and mechanisms as required to verify function and quality.
  • Adapt to frequently changing tasks and product types in a custom production environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a small team to meet daily production goals and timelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following established housekeeping and 5S practices.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production, packaging, and general labor needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake City, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
